FLORIDA'S FIRST "STAND-UP" MRI™ OPENS IN PALM HARBOR, FL

PALM HARBOR, FL. - January 3, 2002 - Rose Radiology Centers, Inc. (RRC) announced the opening of the 1st "STAND-UP", high field, Open MRI available in Florida. This new weight bearing MRI is available at their newest center, The Imaging Center at Boot Ranch in Palm Harbor, FL.

This is the second facility for Rose Radiology Centers, Inc. Their first center is East Pasco Open MRI & Diagnostic Center located in Zephyrhills, FL. RRC is owned and operated by Manuel S. Rose, M.D., who is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology. RRC is built upon the principle of physicians managing patient care.

Dr. Rose said "We are extremely excited about providing the Tampa Bay area with access to the latest in OPEN MRI technology. This OPEN MRI will finally allow physicians to secure MRI images of patients in their position of symptoms or pain. Our center will provide not only MRI, but Spiral CT scans, ultrasound, x-ray, and interventional pain management to patients throughout this area."

Patients can be scanned in a multitude of positions, including standing, sitting, flexion, rotation, lateral, and recumbent positions. Unusual patient positions that are difficult or impossible on conventional recumbent scanners are routine on this new system from FONAR Corporation. This new multi-positional MRI is the only "high field" Open MRI in the Tampa Bay area.
